Fried Rice
1/2 cup Long Grain Rice
1 tsp Oil
1 Egg (beaten)
1 rasher Bacon (chopped)
1/2 Onion
1 small clove Garlic (crushed)
I/4 cup Bean Shoots
1/4 cup Champignons (sliced)
1/2 Carrot (thinly sliced)
1/4 cup Frozen Beans or Peas
2 tsp Soy Sauce
2 Spring Onions (chopped)
Method:
Serve Fried Rice as part of a two course meal followed by Peach Melba!

Method:
- Boil 1 litre water. Add rice and boil 12 minutes. Test to determine whether it is cooked. Drain, rinse and cool.
- Heat oil in wok and fry egg. Cut into small pieces.
- Fry bacon, onion, bean shoots, carrot and beans (or peas) and garlic until onion is transparent.
- Add rice and champignons. Warm thrOugh, stirring mixture well.
- Add egg pieces and soy sauce. Cook 1 minute, stirring well.
- Serve, garnished with spring onions.
